We stayed at the Ema cottage in November 2025 and found it roomy, cozy, and really nicely equipped. The kitchen even had basics like oil, salt, and pepper for cooking. There was a fireplace in the living room with wood ready for heating, and everything with Mrs. Andrea went smoothly. I’d happily recommend it.

We were two couples at the renovated Ema cottage in Abertamy in July 2025. Mrs. Andrejka was lovely and helpful, and even arranged an electric bike for us. The place had plenty of practical touches: two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, a well-stocked kitchen with a dishwasher and tablets, and a capsule coffee machine with capsules. There’s also a terrace, a small garden with a fireplace, and parking beside the cottage for two cars. A bike shed would have been useful. It was quite cold during our stay, but damp enough that we needed to air the place out, so we were glad to have underfloor heating. We didn’t need to use the living-room fireplace. We’d recommend staying here.

That little ski area is right around the corner, and the atmosphere was so welcoming. The host was super friendly, breakfast was good, and the rooms worked well. The Neapolitan pizza was world-class, and the value for money was excellent. We were more than satisfied and will be back for another winter stay. Highly recommend ❤️🙏💪🥰

The cottage itself is lovely and close to the mountains, so its location seems ideal for skiing in winter. We stayed in the Elen cottage over the summer, though, and there wasn’t much else that stood out. The overflowing rubbish in the shed was still there when we left five days later, even though the owner said on arrival that he knew about it and would clear it away. Breakfast was a disaster too. For six adults, we got about four rolls, the ham ran out, and when we asked for more pastries, the lady brought three more rolls and said they were from the day before. At 160 crowns per person for breakfast, we’ll stay somewhere else next time. It really shows when a business is just owned by someone rather than actively run by them.
