There’s a lot to do nearby, from walking and cycling paths to ski lifts, and the hotel offers good value for money. It’s been recently reconstructed, and the rooms, sheets and towels all felt fresh and spotless. The restaurant serves high-quality food, and breakfast has a good range, including sausages, eggs, vegetables, fruit and pastries. The beer from a microbrewery was tasty and well balanced. Kids have morning activities, a play area and games to borrow, including fishing and badminton. The staff were friendly, serving everyone with smiles and enthusiasm.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, so this is just about the restaurant. We tried three different dishes, and each was the best of its kind we had in all of Benecko. We were there with the kids, who had a little outdoor playground behind the building with slides and other toys. They take cards. If you’re hungry nearby, definitely stop in.

We’ll definitely come back. The restaurant was a highlight: everything we tried over several days was fresh, well prepared and delicious, with good portions. You can see the cooks at work, and there were no convenience components. The hotel has been renewed, with comfortable rooms, strong heating, hot water whenever needed, and modern bathrooms that have everything you need without being luxurious. Kids’ corners with games are all over the place, and there’s a separate warm room at the back for ski equipment. There are six parking spots behind the hotel, a few more in front, and others about 30 m away along the road. The owner speaks Czech and fluent German, and the whole team was friendly and professional.

A modern, comfortable penzion in a cool, fresh climate, with great service and a nice location. I’ll be back for sure.
