We had a tasty breakfast and helpful service from the staff. It's a quiet spot very close to Kanopiste Castle, with safe parking right beside the hotel.

The rooms were spacious and clean, though a bit dated, so this isn't the place for anyone looking for luxury. I did wonder whether some of the high ratings came from the owner and family running the pension. The owners don't live at the hotel, and especially off season, guests seem to be left alone all night. At check-in, nobody explained how to get back into the building after going out, and I ended up locked outside. It was morning, so it was fine then, but in such an isolated spot it could be scary.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were much bigger and nicer than I expected. There's a fun discgolf course starting right outside the hotel, plus a motorcycle museum. Chateau Konopiste is only a few minutes away on foot. I'll be back.
