From the hotel you can head straight to several wine cellars just behind it, or walk up Kravi Hora for a stunning view. It’s an unexpected four-star hotel in a small village in South Moravia, and the location is great for exploring. The food is upscale, with lots of local wines. Rooms are comfortable and have what you need, and the outdoor areas are thoughtfully set up for kids. There’s also a sauna and wellness area, but they’re closed in summer.

The food was the biggest surprise for me. I hadn’t expected the kitchen to be this good 😁 Breakfast was great too, actually better than I expected. The people are amazingly nice, and the service and prices are just perfect.

The meal tasted very good, but the portion was tiny for the price, and the wine wasn’t anything special. We waited nearly two hours for our food. The food was good, and the place, its surroundings, and the people were all very nice. But I only visited the restaurant, and payment was a real letdown. They take cash only. Without cash, you can use the nearby Euronet ATM, which charges a service fee of 4+€, or get cashback at the front desk with your card and then pay an extra card fee. The portions are a bit small for the prices. Such a shame.

Plzeň is available as the beer, and it could be a nice place if you can put up with the wait. Half the order can arrive 10 after the other half. Service is very slow, and a smile from the staff is rare. Skip the Rib-eye steak. All the meat was far too overcooked to enjoy.
