The hotel is in a lovely spot at the edge of Brno’s historic old town, with an elegant facade. The breakfast buffet was generous, and the service we had was generally warm and professional. The room and facilities didn’t quite justify the price or five-star positioning. We paid for a deluxe junior suite but were given a superior attic room. We only noticed after checkout, when we compared it with the categories and photos on Booking.com. The room showed wear, with dated wallpaper and dust under the beds. The mattress seemed like a standard one with a foam topper. When we first used the jacuzzi tub, dark residue came out of the jets. One skylight control worked, but the other was stuck closed and let light through. Housekeeping was uneven: the room was missed one day, then later refreshed with too few towels. The gym is very small and has little equipment. The saunas are clothing-optional, which some guests may want to know. Breakfast coffee was average unless you paid extra for a premium option. It’s a beautiful building in a prime location, but for this price it felt more like a solid four-star stay than a true five-star one.

The building is an architectural marvel, with spacious rooms and high ceilings. The understated luxury comes through in the scent throughout the hotel and the live piano music twice a day. The staff are impeccably trained, and the location is excellent. For this rate, you could easily pay 2-3 times as much in any European capital. Just an amazing stay.

The location was great, and the room was very clean, well equipped, and regularly cleaned as requested. The hotel was generally good, but honestly I expected more for what I paid. Breakfast was ordinary and could have been better for a hotel like this. My main disappointment was the fitness and spa facilities, which I’d checked before booking. Both were really small, and the sauna could fit only 3 people max. It didn’t get cleaned regularly, and the flavoured water was empty on a few of my visits. Water also drained badly from the shower and spread into other areas. I called once to ask for help, but a woman arrived very late and seemed reluctant to deal with it. The restaurant is also very pricey, and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby with much better prices. The stay was fine, but not worth that amount of money.

Live piano in the foyer really shows off the beautiful space, and the staff were so nice. The hotel’s architecture is stunning, the room was spacious, and it was a good deal for such a wonderful place. Fantastic location too. I’ve got nothing bad to say and would love to come back!

I was there on a recent business trip, and the rooms were elegant, spacious, and extremely comfortable after a long day. Everything felt premium and thoughtfully arranged. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely warm, making me feel valued throughout the stay.
