Really great.

The guesthouse is beautifully furnished, and the owner has clearly put a lot of care into it. She and the owners were kind, helpful, and accommodating. There’s a wine cellar guests can access, as is usual in Moravia, and my husband thought the wines were excellent. The accommodation was affordable for a holiday, and I can recommend it. It is on the main road, though, with buses and garbage collectors passing by :-(

The rooms are imaginatively themed. I stayed in the Elvis and Marilyn rooms, and their windows face the courtyard, so you can barely hear the nearby intersection. The owner is very pleasant, and breakfast is generous and varied, although I wasn’t keen on the limited pastry selection or how fresh it was. I was cold the whole stay. In early spring it was about 18C by day and around 3C at night, but the heating was off and icy. 🙁 I’m not sure this is quite the right place to complain about that. I had pre-booked and arrived around three after work to check in, but the guesthouse was locked. I didn’t ring or call anyone. After waiting outside for twenty minutes, I put my suitcase back in the car and went to eat. The owner called soon after and said she’d be there in a moment. The same thing happened to other guests the next day, so if you arrive and everything seems dead, don’t give up hope.
