The pizza is great, but breakfast was very poor. My single room felt like a maid’s quarters tucked under the stairs. On the positive side, the bathroom was spotlessly clean and new, though the shower setup sent water across the floor outside the shower. I wouldn’t stay here with dogs. For €15 a day, you get to carry them up openwork stairs to the entrance, which is one and a half floors up. The staff came across as arrogant.

A strange little place. The room was booked at € 39, but they charged € 55 when I arrived. I had two glasses of white wine and was billed for four. I shut the windows before going for a walk, then came back to a smell that made me think of what Brno must have been like during the black plague. I could say more, but you get the idea. Brno is beautiful, and this place is a black spot on it.

I can’t comment on the hotel, but the restaurant was a nice surprise. The food was awesome, the staff were very polite and spoke English, and they have pizza from a wood-fired oven.

The bathroom was nicely decorated, and the room was clean. But there was no fridge, and the room we requested and paid for as a deluxe faced the exterior staircase. It was no larger than a standard double room. The restaurant smells also meant there was no ventilation.

A nice, clean hotel in a very good location, and the price is fair. There’s free parking if you manage to get a spot. No balcony or luxury touches, but it’s cheap too, so it feels like a fair deal.
