The nature is breathtaking, and the rooms were clean. I was there with my family to explore Czech culture and was so pleasantly surprised by the place, the atmosphere, the Czech food, and lovely Caesar. If I travel around Karlovy Vary or nearby again, I'll choose Švejk. Thanks for such a lovely experience!

The food is average, though reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. If you're visiting with kids, it's very suitable, since there's basically a playground inside the restaurant.

Our server, Václav, was so helpful and had great recommendations. Everything we ate was delicious, and the service was tremendous. I had the Kurecí rízek Cordon Bleu (Schnitzel Cordon Bleu) with fried potatoes and garlic dip, which I highly recommend. We also tried the Palachinken, so yummy!

There's a huge playground right in the middle of the restaurant, which is perfect for parents with kids. We had Svíčková during the day, then rib eye steak and duck in the evening.

It was our first and last visit to Svejk. The service was chaotic, with just one waiter who seemed stressed while serving everyone and taking orders. They'd run out of burgers, so two of us had to pick something else. The first dish was spicy, and some of it was also very salty. Fine, maybe the cook made a mistake. But the main course was terrible, I've never had food this salty. It tasted like they'd been preserving it for years. When we asked the same waiter about the mountains of salt, he suddenly couldn't respond in normal sentences.
