Residence Bijou de Prague

A good value for the quality, with a well-kept feel and a handy base for seeing Prague. The rooms are comfortable and have character, and the staff are helpful. It’s a charming boutique hotel with the intimate atmosphere you don’t get in a big chain. A solid pick if you want a stay with a bit more personality.

Our room was lovely and very large, with a great view of the castle above us. The bed was comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast had plenty of good choices. The hotel is close to the castle, and surprisingly peaceful at night once the tourists head downhill.

A simple breakfast, but it was fresh, tasty, and a nice start to the day. The price also felt like good value. The location is the main draw: step outside and the city centre, old town, and major sights are all a short walk away, making it easy to explore and take in local life. I’d gladly recommend it for comfort and convenience.

There’s no elevator, and the building sits uphill, so getting around could be difficult if you have leg problems. Still, the location just below Prague castle is spectacular. The hotel has only six rooms, each with its own name and decor. We had the Mozart room, with a small extra room and a charming balcony. It was spacious and nicely decorated, with a big comfortable bed and a nespresso coffee maker. Breakfast was at the ice cream place next door, which had excellent coffee and a fantastic dessert selection. Highly recommended.
