Hotel Golden Key Prague

The location was amazing, and for a last-minute booking it could have been worse. The hotel was nice enough and reasonably priced, breakfast was good despite some fruit flies, and the staff were friendly. Cleanliness was my main issue. The room didn’t seem to get cleaned during the day: my towels were taken but not replaced, though luckily there were spares in the room. I stopped putting towels out after that. The bedding was changed, but little else. Hair was left in the bath, and the sink wasn’t cleaned. It also became clear the room hadn’t been deep-cleaned before my stay. I’m a solo female traveler, and there was used men’s underwear stuffed beside the safe, so it certainly wasn’t mine. Some minibar snacks had been eaten, and the empty packets put back. Neither issue had been caught when the room was turned over.

We loved this charming historic hotel. It’s an easy walk to Charles Bridge and the surrounding sights, and it’s close to Prague Palace too. The staff were friendly and happy to help. I’d happily recommend it.

The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was very good. Everyone on staff was kind and helpful. Golden key hotel is also really well placed: about 2 minutes from public transport, 8 minutes on foot from prauge castle, and roughly 15 minutes from Charles Bridge and the old town, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. I’d gladly stay again on another trip to prauge and would recommend it to family and friends.

I felt very welcome here, especially thanks to the helpful receptionist who was glad to advise me on whatever I needed. The hotel is peaceful and lovely, with comfortable beds and a great location just steps from Prague Castle or Charles Bridge. My room looked out over Petrin Hill, which was lovely. I’d recommend it and would definitely return.
