Hotel PurPur

The rooms are kept clean every day, and they're spacious, with a lovely bath. The hotel is on a quiet street, which made it easy to relax. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and you can walk to all the places we wanted to see. This was my second stay, and I'll definitely come back. Thank you! 😊

We had to change hotels in the end. The lobby also had a strange, unpleasant smell, and the staff member there was rude, painfully slow, and made no attempt to sort out the mess he'd caused. We waited 45 minutes just to get one of our three rooms. When we said all three rooms needed to be at the same location, he told us it wasn't his problem. Completely unacceptable. When we arrived, none of our rooms had been booked. They suggested we stay 45 minutes away, which would have split up our group. There was no service whatsoever, and this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Don't book here.

The quiet street makes a good base, with historic Prague only a few streets away. The hotel is in Nova Mesto, within a short walk of Stare Mesto and the Vtlava River, with all kinds of bars and restaurants nearby. Staff are friendly and happy to offer advice. Our big double bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic. We didn't use the kitchenette, and the furniture was a little tired, but neither got in the way of our stay.

The staff at reception were good, both during the day and at night, and they clearly explained how to get in if arriving late. We could also leave our luggage before check-in or after check-out. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and ours had useful kitchen equipment. There's a fridge with food and drinks for purchase. The hotel looks old from outside, but inside it was good. It's close to the city center, though the tram is about a 300m walk away. Once on the tram, it's easy to cover the attractions in a day. The price was reasonable, and we had a good trip staying here.
