We stayed in August 2024, and everything felt just right. The owner greeted us when we arrived on a rainy day. After checking in, we made the most of the indoor amenities. The food and drinks were excellent, and the wine list had a distinctive selection at very reasonable prices. The modern annex is an architectural masterpiece, with an incredible view. This place stands up well against boutique hotels in Switzerland or Austria. The owner is clearly involved and supports the team, which helps create a welcoming atmosphere. The walks around the property were wonderful, with such powerful nature all around. I only wish I’d brought my bike, as the nearby trails looked great. Both thumbs up, it’s been a while since we had such a good hotel experience.

We only stopped by for an afternoon snack, without staying overnight. The neighborhood is stunning, and we felt very comfortable. There was a family celebration going on, and I wished I could’ve been invited 😉. The food service looked tempting. Both the indoor room and terrace felt cozy, with a lovely touch of nature. We took cake and ice cream onto a blanket on the grass and enjoyed a picnic evening with a drink. Next time, we plan to stay over and try breakfast and lunch too.

A beautiful wedding venue in the mountains, with lovely gardens. We saw it in the rain and it looked dreamlike. There’s plenty of indoor space for a rainy wedding, plus a good-sized dining and party hall. The guest rooms are very nice too.

We left almost as soon as we arrived. Our room had been switched without anyone telling us, and a wedding was taking place at the hotel, which meant unbearable noise. Even though we had a dinner reservation, there wasn't anywhere for us to sit with the wedding going on. Hotel U Holubu was a huge disappointment. I can't recommend it to anyone. Stay away.
