The operators’ openness, friendliness, and hard work really stood out. Their small restaurant next door serves refreshments for cyclists and guests, and the guesthouse is right on the cycle path. The place in Černá has been fully renovated and newly equipped. There’s a big garden with a pool, ping pong table, and outdoor grilling equipment.

It’s a peaceful spot, and the other places around the Lipno reservoir are easy to get to.

The garden is great for kids, and it’s only a short walk to the Olšina trail, which I recommend. The owners are nice. Inside, the beds were comfortable, with two double beds, and the bedding was clean and pleasant. The bathroom was clean and had hot water. But at this price, the problems were big enough for me to give it just 3 stars, even if others might not mind them. The newly renovated building is by the main road and has no room heating, just a central heater that couldn’t warm the room properly in winter. Fortunately it was around 20 degrees during the day, and the room did warm up eventually, but the bathroom stayed cold. Breakfast is served in an unheated wooden annex outside, so we would have needed jackets, which we didn’t want to wear. Also, the road-facing rooms were lit up by lamps outside, and at midnight our room felt like daytime.
