City Hotel Morris

It looks classy and is fairly cheap for a four-star place. The staff were friendly and spoke English, though the breakfast was nice but very basic. The Wi-Fi was awful, and only a few TV channels worked. I felt misled because I was put in Villa Morris, which is about 100 meters behind the hotel and in a much worse location. They charged my Kozel beer as Pilzner, and when I left a dirty towel on the floor, they put it back as if it were clean. Lol.

The rooms and bathroom were spacious and clean, and the central location came with nice views. The beds felt too soft to me, and the pillows were huge. It got very warm at night, and I couldn't open the windows for fresh air. Food was fine, with local Czech wine and beer on offer. Breakfast had a good range, including vitamin bombs. The bathroom had a vanity set, but no hair conditioner, and the toilet paper was cheap. A few little things aside, I enjoyed staying here and would come back.

The room and location would deserve five stars if the service were better. Customer service seems like an idea from another galaxy here. They have a monopoly in Ceska Lipa, and it shows.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, and the service was nice. But getting to room 210 meant carrying your luggage up stairs, since there was no elevator to the second floor. The only entrance we were told about went through the hotel restaurant, so every time we had to walk past diners and disturb them. If your stay includes lunch and dinner, the options are always the same selection of the cheapest dishes, plus one daily special. Anything else costs extra. There was no desk in the room either. I expected more from a four-star hotel. There are apartments in other parts of the hotel, so your experience may differ, but for me this was the first and last stay.
