The canal right in front of the hotel was a lovely view from my big, airy room. It was high summer, but the room felt open and well ventilated. I stayed at Lux for 10 days, and it was peaceful and pleasant, a good place to rest or work. The city was about a 10-minute walk away, while the hotel itself stayed quiet. My room was huge, with big windows, and everything worked perfectly. The whole place had a calming feel. The staff deserve a lot of credit: I have tons of allergies, and the host did her best to prepare breakfast for me every morning. I also forgot my belongings, and they arranged pickup so everything made its way back to me. I don’t speak Czech at all, but they were still helpful and flexible. It’s an honest, hardworking local business with great facilities. Budweis region is also a great summer spot, especially with the nearby lakes to explore.

The rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable, much better than I expected for this price range. I didn’t have other complaints, though hotel wifi was unreliable at best and the check-in instructions could be clearer.
