Downtown Apartments Český Krumlov

We’ve visited Český Krumlov several times, and this is easily our top choice for accommodation. We’ll come back next time. The apartment is spacious, bright and clean, with its own equipped kitchen and bathroom, and towels are provided.

The apartment is comfortable, with a lovely view from the balcony, and it’s a treat to stay in an old castle with metre-thick walls. The location is gorgeous. Bring euros, though, because cards aren’t accepted and the exchange rate for crowns isn’t very good. The town feels tiny, but it’s sweet and fairytale-like. It reminded me of a Czech childhood film about two brothers, one of whom turns into a piece of rock. Hostel was filmed here, too, and there are lots of Chinese people around now.

The apartment is in awful shape, hard to reach, and part of a dilapidated old building. The winding stairs feel dangerous. There’s a bar and restaurant downstairs, with unpleasant smells and noise, and the bar’s bathroom is next to the apartment. Inside, the apartment bathroom opens onto both the bedroom and living room. It’s not fit to live in and was a waste of money.

It’s spacious, peaceful and comfortable, with a great location. The view of Český Krumlov Castle from the balcony is fantastic.
