Hotel EBERSBACH

The room got a little warm, but the two fans on either side of the bed kept it from being a problem. They also left a small birthday gesture, which was thoughtful and much appreciated. It’s a beautiful hotel with excellent service and nice extras like a spa, jacuzzi, and breakfast in bed.

Check-in was smooth, and the location is perfect, only a five-minute walk from car park 1. We stayed in the Edward Kelly signature room, which was spacious and stylish. The air conditioning actually worked well in weather over 30C, which I was happy about. But the room really needs a thorough clean. There was dust everywhere, including on the bed’s headboard. The pretty tissue box was dusty too, and that put me off using the tissues.

It’s a gorgeous little hotel in a central spot, with lots of pleasant corners to sit in, like a writing desk and a small patio table and chairs. The room’s furniture and bedspread were lovely, the small bathroom was good, and the AC worked well. The odd thing was that the windows had no curtains, so light-sensitive sleepers may wake early. More of a 4.5 than a full 5.

The room was beautiful, with lovely furniture and a very comfortable bed. The hotel itself is a beautiful historic place, and breakfast is served in a historic hall. The receptionist with glasses kindly upgraded me to a bigger room, and the reception staff were generally friendly and helpful. Room service was odd, though. One day they changed the towels even though I wanted to reuse them, left the bed unmade, and didn’t clean. The next day they made the bed but left the towels on the floor, and again didn’t clean or collect the rubbish. Breakfast staff also weren’t very friendly or professional. Still, it was a nice stay overall.
