The breakfast was excellent, especially the homemade syrups, and there’s a great nearby restaurant serving traditional Czech food in huge portions. Parking was very good too. The rooms are clean and spacious, with balconies looking over the city. It’s a quiet place, about a 10-minute walk from the centre of Cesky Krumlov. I really recommend it for a calm stay.

The breakfast was simple, though I liked the homemade drink. I was given just one bath towel, and the first-floor balcony faced an alley, so I couldn’t open the door or curtains. At check-in I was welcomed warmly, and I expected a good stay. But the room I got was smaller than the one I’d booked. I went back to reception a few minutes later, but nobody was there. It seemed to be staffed only during check-in. I called and asked to be moved to the room I had reserved. The owner kept saying there was no issue with one person staying overnight, but didn’t apologize or send anyone to sort it out. I was only told when the owner could come by, and I waited more than 3 hours and 20 minutes. It was a boring and uncomfortable wait. I also emailed the accommodation about what happened. The owner replied in Czech, so I had to search online to understand it because my SIM card wasn’t working properly. When I finally met the owner that evening, they said it was fine because the larger room I booked and the smaller one I received cost the same. I was astounded. They still sell two room types separately, but assign rooms without asking guests first. That shows very little consideration for customers. The service attitude needs to improve, with a more proactive response to guests’ concerns.

The owners’ hospitality really impressed me, though I regret not taking a photo with them. The climb up the steep slope is hard, but keep going until you reach the top before looking back. The view is spectacular and makes the effort fade away. If I come again, I’d definitely stay here again (^^) Thank you so much!!

I’d give it more stars if I could. Our stay was perfect: clean, a lovely balcony view, and a convenient location. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was nice, and the staff were friendly. Totally recommend.
