The setting is lovely, with a nice interior and a terrace, and the bison steak was seasoned beautifully and cooked really well. We didn’t have a bad experience, but the service didn’t match the prices. We waited ages for coffee, ordered it twice, and were even charged extra. The bigger problem is still cash-only payment. Since the place is so remote, customers shouldn’t have to feel stuck until they find an ATM. There’s no notice about this anywhere except in reviews, though Google could at least say NFC isn’t accepted. At a place where a steak costs 800 CZK, paying by card should be possible. I hope they reconsider electronic payments and improve the service and communication between staff. Thanks for the experience, anyway.

The rooms were clean, and having a kitchen with dishes, a fridge, stove, and everything needed to cook was great. Breakfast was great too, and the restaurant feels really cosy. It’s a calm, relaxing ranch in the middle of Czech Canada, a lovely area for biking and hiking. A nice spot to spend time with dogs or kids.

The bison meat was tasty and cooked well, and it makes sense that the menu is built around it. Still, for this price range we expected more care. Seeing a cash-only warning on the front door and cash-only stickers on all the windows inside instead of special offers felt awful. That’s a horrible way to attract customers and comes across as arrogant.

We had a really helpful waiter who made recommendations we ended up enjoying, and the steaks were delicious. The Czech "smažák", fried cheese with baked potatoes, was fantastic too, and cost only CZK 100. Food arrived within 30mins, the staff were warm and friendly, and the bill came in a little below what we expected. I know others have complained about slow or poor service here, but our visit was great. Highly recommended from our point of view.

The cooking is great, and it’s not every day you get to eat bison. The surroundings are lovely, the interior is nice, and the service was professional. There’s usually a kids corner, and the terrace is great in both summer and winter. It can close for events, and it gets busy, so check ahead and reserve a table.
