We only stayed one night, which felt far too short. The garden is lovely, with outdoor seating, and the room was clean and nice. The owner was so pleasant and quickly arranged an overnight stay for us. And we even got lavender cake made with lavender from the garden. Thanks for such a great stay! 😊

The owner's handmade lavender soap smelled lovely, and that was a really nice touch ❤️. He was also incredibly kind and helpful, with great tips for places to see nearby and some really good restaurants. Our room was clean and had the basics, and the garden was lovely, with seating and a grill. Thank you 🙂

The rooms had everything we needed, from basic dishes to a fridge, microwave and hotplate. Everything was spotless, and the furniture looked almost new. There’s also a bike shed and a garden where you can use the grill. We picked the place for its price and all the glowing reviews, and they were right. Even arriving at 9 pm was easy. We got a friendly welcome, a tour and an offer to help unload the car. We turned that down since we only had a few things, and I do have hands :-D. When people clearly enjoy running a place, being a guest there is a pleasure. This one was more than 100%.

May is still off-season here, so finding somewhere to eat was the tricky part. Most restaurants were open only on weekends, and finding lunch took some effort. We usually made dinner in the room. Bring a snack if you’re planning to be out. There’s a pastry shop in Chlum with good coffee and desserts, one of the few places to stop for a treat. It’s probably easier in season. The accommodation itself is easy to recommend. The owners are lovely, breakfast is homemade and delicious, and the room has a small kitchenette. You can sit in the garden and rent a grill with wood and coal. The bike room is spacious enough for plenty of bikes. It’s a great base for cycling, and I liked the surrounding trails even more than the ones in Třeboň.
