Hotel Mertin

The homemade lemonade and meals were great. We stopped by the Hotel & Restaurant on a whim, and the woman in charge made us feel right at home. She spoke English, helped us choose dishes, and translated for us. There were two adults and three almost-grown kids in our group, so we probably gave her some extra work, but she was kind throughout. People in Chomutov should go have dinner there :-)

Petra made the service especially lovely during my stay at Hotel Mertin. The place is clearly run with care, and the restaurant is excellent. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend it.

The location is convenient for walking to the shopping mall, city center, and other areas. There’s no lift, though the hotel is only three floors. Rooms are neat and clean, with a minibar, and there’s a restaurant with good food. Breakfast is complimentary, laundry service is available, and the staff are friendly.

I’ve stayed here twice now, four years apart, and it’s still very good. The rooms are large, clean, and tidy, though the bathrooms are small. Breakfast is okay and parking is okay too. It’s not a high-end, supermodern hotel, and there’s no wellness or range of extra services, so it isn’t a five-star place. But the hospitality and the way they look after guests are outstanding. It’s a lovely countryside spot and a very good choice.
