The food and staff really added to the stay, and the hotel’s history makes it a great spot for beer lovers. It’s also well placed for exploring Bohemian Switzerland National Park and the surrounding area. Just be aware there’s no elevator, so luggage or older guests may be a concern.

There’s an early-opening café across the street, which was handy. My room was clean and quiet, and the bed was okay, though not especially comfortable. The towels felt rough, and I didn’t find the food at the hotel restaurant particularly tasty.

The bakery downstairs had really good pastries and coffee, and breakfast came with a great selection. We also had dinner in the restaurant downstairs, which was very good. Our family room was comfortable and clean. I really liked staying here and plan to come back this summer.

The bakery was good, with great bread. The restaurant seemed extremely expensive, so we chose not to eat there. As for the Cvikov beer made in this brewery, I thought it was awful.

The shower corner is tiny, so even washing my feet was difficult, and there was mold in it. The room also gets extremely warm, with no air conditioning. When it rains, the window has to be shut completely because there’s no vent window; otherwise water leaks into the room.
