The ski trail starts right at Montanie Resort, which made it a perfect base for our cross-country skiing weekend. We had a great stay and would happily return. The rooms are cozy, with natural wood decor, and the spa and wellness area was a welcome place to unwind after a full day on the trails. Breakfast and dinner were included, both buffet style with plenty of choice. The staff, especially at reception, were very friendly and helpful. It was also handy to charge restaurant drinks to our room.

We appreciated the weak mobile signal as a chance for a bit of digital detox. The resort itself was quiet and very clean, with high-quality restaurant, wellness, and other facilities. It’s a good fit for cross-country skiing, hiking, or cycling. Our first visit was a great one.

The setting across from the lake is beautiful, though swimming there isn’t allowed. The rooms are nicely finished with limited materials, and the bathrooms are beautiful and in excellent shape. The restaurant and breakfast were fine. But the rooms can get very warm, and there’s no fridge, air conditioning, or even a fan. There are no curtains either, so morning sun wakes you up.

I always enjoy staying here. The resort is tucked away in the forest, with nicely designed rooms, great food, and staff who are so friendly and helpful. We’ve also enjoyed the new wellness area. There’s no signal, but that makes for a great detox.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the way it was served felt like a five-star restaurant. The place is beautiful, and the rooms have been newly renovated. Mobile reception was missing, and the resort Wi-Fi didn’t work well. Perfect if you want to unplug, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a work-away weekend.
