Goethe Spa & Medical Hotel

I wanted to come away with good things to say about Goethe Hotel and SPA and its medical treatments, but several things really bothered me. I paid out of pocket, in cash, for four treatments, so I don’t understand how a clerk could decide not to treat me because I was just a couple of minutes late. I couldn’t find room 16 for my facial massage. It was confusing because there’s a room 16 on the first floor and another on the second floor of the Goethe building, rather than the Savoy building. The technician watched me searching and didn’t offer help or ask if I needed anything. Once I found the room, she smiled and said I was late and she wouldn’t do the treatment. Who gave her the right to make that decision? After that, I lost interest in all my sessions. The facial massage itself felt fake and was horrible. They’d have been better off not offering it. I went to the SPA to relax and get help with my health issues, but it didn’t work out for me. A nurse yelled at me again, telling me to come to the office and ask for another treatment. I was shocked. I was willing to spend my own money on treatment, so why did I have to pay a 100 crone fine? I don’t know how I ended up at this sanatorium, but the experience was painful. I’ve been to Truskavetz, Ukraine every year and had excellent service there. I travelled from the USA to Goethe and am very disappointed to be yelled at at every turn. The coffee machine shuts down breakfast, and don’t bother trying the tea at reception, it’s sweet hot water. The food was terrible during the first week of my vacation. The pigs on a farm probably get better food. Then, all of a sudden, the cafeteria started serving two glasses of wine with dinner in the second week. Who do you think is paying your salary?
