Hotel Atlantis

The biggest disappointment was the spa booking. I asked about a massage right after checking in and was told I needed to reserve at least 3 days in advance. I hadn’t left it until the last minute, either, I’d tried to book many weeks ahead. We travel a lot and haven’t run into this abroad. It’s annoying, especially when hotel guests seem to have no priority over outside customers. A quick fix might be to tell guests before arrival when massage slots are filling up. Not enough masseurs is a good problem to have, but is this really how you upsell services? The rooms are noisy, with no real soundproofing, and there’s no basic kettle. The decor could use a designer’s touch. Still, the kitchen and the weekend service were excellent. The dishes were absolutely delicious and beautifully executed. The kitchen itself deserves 5 stars plus, and I really appreciate the hard work. Some guests may not understand the standard of the food. If the kitchen hadn’t been so good, my review overall would have been much worse. The hotel was clean, the staff attentive, breakfast had a nice selection, and the spa facilities were great. My ratings: kitchen 5*+++, rooms 4*, spa facilities 5*. The spa logistics were upsetting.

We come here regularly for the wellness, which is usually a pleasant experience, but reception has often left us feeling unwelcome. The staff can seem annoyed and look at you as if you’re a nuisance. Adding money to a club card also takes a long time, and they don’t seem willing to acknowledge problems on their side. Once, two of us went through the gates together, but only one was charged for extra minutes, even though we both left when planned. The receptionist wouldn’t accept that one of us couldn’t have gone over time and just looked confused. Management, please take care of reception. They’re the face of the place, and guests should leave feeling welcome, not unpleasant almost every time. Update: We visited after this review, and the reception service was really nice. The sauna was the highlight of our stay, and breakfast made the morning even better. Our room was comfortable enough for a good night, though the decor felt a bit dated and the sofa bed wasn’t especially comfortable. The bathroom was more up to date. It’s a quiet hotel, with a lovely view of the pool, and I’m already planning another trip back.

A good-value wellness stay, especially with access to the facilities included. The sauna “world” is new and nicely renovated, with 4 finish saunas, a steam room, salt cave, and plenty of cooling pools. Breakfast has a big choice, too. The hotel’s a little off the main roads, but still very close to brno and lake.
