We’d booked a bungalow for three nights, but after a phone call we arranged with the owner to stay the whole week. We didn’t regret it at all. A friendly young man welcomed us and explained the accommodation. The cottage was a pleasant surprise, nicely equipped, with a kitchen that had everything we needed, including a kettle, fridge with freezer, pots, pan and microwave. The bathroom had several towels, hand soap and shower gel. Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty of choice: scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, parks, salami, yogurt and buns. The cook/maid was pleasant and greeted us with a smile. On Wednesday we met the owner, a very nice and pleasant woman who was happy to help and full of trip tips. When we asked, she suggested around ten places to visit, plus ideas to keep our one-year-old son entertained, like nearby llamas and a bridge where he could throw stones into the water. The beer was very well cared for and properly tapped. I know the industry and have taken a beer tapping course, so I know what I’m talking about :D. They also make homemade lemonade there, and the young man at the bar said the owner makes the syrup herself. The woman behind the bar was helpful and pleasant as well. There’s a large pergola on site where you can grill or cook over a fire. It’s a really baby-friendly place. The staff love children, and there’s both an outdoor playground and an indoor kids’ corner. The whole place felt more like staying with grandma or mom than at a hotel, with a very family-like atmosphere. I’m sure we’ll come again and recommend it to everyone.
