We'd booked and paid for our stay through booking, but when we arrived, the owner of cottage number 346 laughed at us and said we'd had bad luck. We had to find somewhere else to stay ourselves. Quite an experience. Be careful with this owner.
The setting by the water at Lipno is lovely, with different kinds of cottages tucked among the trees. At this time of year, in autumn, most of the people here seem to be fishermen and mushroom pickers.
I was pleasantly surprised that there was no charge for the dog or the car, and the manager was nice and easy to communicate with. It's a lovely place for adults and families with kids alike. There are lots of places to visit nearby, and a forest for walks right next to the campsite. Just great all around. ☺️
These cottages sleep 4-6 people, with a kitchen, dining table, fireplace, bathroom, and rooms with two beds. It's basic but sufficient for anyone who doesn't need much. If the weather stays dry, you can spend your time outdoors. I'd recommend it.
The staff were great, and there's a large area with a fireplace, plus the option to rent a boat. You get a view of Lipno and good beer. The shop had a pretty limited selection, probably because the season was ending.
