Hotel Diana

Jani, Adiku, Goro, and Míšo, thanks again for such a lovely weekend. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back. The terrace has beautiful views of the giant ski jump, and the setting around the hotel is lovely. Janička and Ádik are caring, kind hosts. We've been coming to Diana for about ten years and have always been happy with it. The staff are pleasant and willing to help with anything, and the food is better than average. The restaurant itself is nice, with a bar counter covered in duck figurines from around the world. The guesthouse sits in a quiet spot away from the center, about a 20-minute walk. A bus stop right beside the building serves the center of Harrachov and the cable cars. The accommodation has lost a little quality because the building hasn't had investment for a long time.

We used to like coming here every year, but this was our last visit. The food was fairly decent, the sour soup was excellent, and Krušovice was better than average. The bill was the problem: it showed just one total, with no itemized prices, so it was impossible to check. We paid 690 CZK for two soups, two main courses, one children's meal, three beers, and juice. That was more than I've paid at the much more luxurious and better-quality Terasa in central Harrachov. I don't know if they can't calculate it or if it was intentional. Cheers to the boss.

The restaurant's rubber duck collection alone makes the visit worthwhile. The owner is a great guy, and this is one of the few hotels, or really mountain huts, where things still feel like they used to.
