The place was clean and the staff were nice. For hot nights, though, we missed having air conditioning or a fan, and screens on the doors would have helped keep bugs out.

The refund came through, but we still lost about 600 PLN because we paid in Polish zloty and were refunded in Czech crowns. The owner wasn’t willing to cover that difference or take responsibility. We were very disappointed with how unprofessional and irresponsible this felt, and I wouldn’t recommend the property. Be careful when booking. The day before our planned holiday arrival, we were told there was no room for us. Since we’d planned the trip well in advance, getting that news at the last minute put us in a very difficult position and caused enormous stress.

We were a group of nine, including a two-year-old, and Cottage no. 8 comfortably fit us. It can accommodate up to 10 or 11 people, and it met and even exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect: the main street is a short walk away, as are two nearby waterfalls. We also enjoyed the playground at the Orea Hotel. Getting there was straightforward. We collected the keys at the ZA PIECI restaurant on Harrachov’s main street, then drove through two barriers, pressing the button at each after getting out of the car. We parked three cars right outside the cottage without any trouble. Inside, everything we needed was there. The beds were very comfortable, with nice bedding and towels. The bathrooms were clean and had hairdryers, one with a bathtub and one with a shower, and there’s a separate toilet downstairs. The living room has a large sofa, a Smart TV, and a radio. Outside on the terrace are an electric grill, a table, chairs, and two swings. The kitchen has a dishwasher, spacious fridge, oven, microwave, ice maker, toaster, cutlery, glasses, cups, plates, pots, and a large frying pan. Each bedroom has a chest of drawers and bedside tables. The whole house was spotless and well maintained. There are two attic bedrooms with single beds on the top floor, though they can get a little stuffy on warm days. The owner stopped by in person one day, and we paid the city tax in cash. We highly recommend the house and would love to return.

The place has an interesting design, but the house barely works for a group. There was just one bathroom, with a shower over the tub, for around twelve guests, and basic things like salt, pepper, and tea were missing. I’d have preferred those over the welcome wine. It’s also expensive and a little out of the way. In winter, getting to the cottages and parking is a real struggle: cars get stuck in the snow and the spaces feel cramped. And two or three entrance keys for five rooms just isn’t enough.
