Pytloun Wellness Hotel Harrachov

The breakfast was the highlight of each day for us, and the food at the restaurant was good, though nothing special. A few more vegetarian choices would've been nice. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, especially Kamila. Our weekend at the Pytloun Wellness Hotel was peaceful and relaxing, with a comfortable room that was practical and stylish without being too fancy. The windows all had nice, cozy views. The lobby and lounge were pleasant, and there was a fun entertainment room with table tennis, a soccer table, and billiards. The wellness area had just one sauna, but it was nice and had everything. The price for what we got was phenomenal.

The rooms were modern and nicely presented, with chic bathrooms, and the hotel welcomed dogs. We'd definitely return, maybe in winter when everything is covered in snow. The views were amazing and the place felt peaceful from the moment we arrived. It's on a hillside overlooking the ski fields and forests, with guest parking and free EV charging. Inside, there's a fire, bookshelves, a feature stone wall, and coffee tables with chairs covered in sheepskins. We waited for check-in with a complimentary beer or wine, looking out through a huge picture window. The sauna and relaxation area also have large windows facing the scenery, so it almost feels like being outdoors. Outside them, there's a deck with a plunge pool for anyone brave enough to cool off, and upstairs there's another wellness bar and lounge. The restaurant was relaxing, with a soundproof kids' play area and a window to watch the children without getting up. My ribs at dinner were excellent. The beer was served warm, and they agreed they needed to do something about it. The waiter offered ice for it, but I declined. There was live entertainment during dinner, with a staff member playing drums and several other instruments. The service was average, and at times we had to wait for someone to serve us at the Wellness bar. When we left, they gave each of us a small piece of cake in a takeaway box.

It's a cozy, nice hotel, and the service is polite. They can accommodate extra requests with food. The spa is small but enough for a few days of skiing and rest. It's up on a little mountain, so without a car you'll need to walk up and down.

The hotel feels dated, with only a limited-budget renovation, and it shows. Cleaning is okay, but proper maintenance is lacking. Restaurant staff seemed poorly trained and managed, and couldn't handle a busy service or keep people happy. The food was okay, but well below what I'd expect from a four-star hotel.
