The breakfast was handled with care. The lady paid attention to what we liked and adjusted the “menu” the next day, and she was nice to us. Still, that’s about the only positive I can mention. Booking’s photos and description were tempting but confusing, and wellness and spa were listed as features, which mattered to us. We expected at least a sauna or pool in the basement, but there wasn’t one. The lady apparently arranges access to a wellness center 100 meters away if someone wants it, and she didn’t seem willing to remove the listing from Booking. The rooms are very small. Once you open a suitcase, you have to step over it. There are no window screens, so it’s either stuffy or you get bitten by mosquitoes. The pillows were terribly thin, even folded in half. The kitchenette does have a kettle, microwave, and fridge, which is handy, but the fridge sometimes made long, loud noises that woke us at night. One night we got back late from a trip and found there was no hot water at all. We had to rinse off with ice water and go to bed. We told the lady in the morning, and she found that the fuses had blown and our boiler was completely cold. She sent us to use a shower on another floor, but we got no compensation for the trouble. It might suit undemanding tourists, but if you want comfort, this really isn’t the place for you.
