Stodola Harrachov

The replacement apartment was noisy, with people upstairs waking us, and strangers lingering around the unit, which affected our privacy. Parking was chaotic too, and my car was blocked repeatedly. I booked Apartmán Stodola2 through Booking.com, expecting a 40 m² one-bedroom apartment with a separate living room, balcony, and proper sleeping arrangements. Instead, when we arrived in Harrachov, we were given a much smaller studio, about half the size, with just one bed and no separate rooms. It didn’t meet what I’d booked. The owner said she’d notified me in advance and had proof, but never showed it. Booking confirmed that no such messages had been sent. She later admitted that other guests had been staying in Apartmán Stodola2 for days before our arrival, so she knew she couldn’t provide our reservation and still didn’t tell us or cancel it. She was arrogant and dismissive. She made a fuss when we tried to park our cars, but had no problem downgrading our accommodation. She offered no apology or reimbursement, and told us that if we didn’t like it, we didn’t have to stay. This felt like a deliberate downgrade and misrepresentation, not a mistake. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
