The room looked nice and was clean, and the decor suited the property. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, though, and the fridge barely cooled anything. There were no guest irons or ironing boards, so they charged to have staff iron clothes. They did a good job, but the price was seriously inflated and the charge felt unnecessary. In our large party, several rooms, including mine, had no hot water. Two other rooms also lost power at their electrical outlets. The beautiful property and tasty restaurant food were outweighed by poor maintenance, rude staff, and restaurant service that was very slow each time. During our whole stay, the whirlpool in the wellness spa was cold, and the spa staff either couldn't or wouldn't fix it. It was advertised as an amenity, but wasn't available as promised. Expensive items disappeared from my room. Staff were unhelpful and irresponsible about it, and didn't tell me about the consumer protection laws they were supposed to explain. Under Czech Act No. 89/2012 Coll., Civil Code, particularly Sections 2945-2948, accommodation providers are liable for loss of or damage to items brought in or entrusted to staff. Act No. 634/1992 Coll. on Consumer Protection also requires consumers' rights to be respected through accurate information, fair service, and complaint handling. Another guest's dog was roaming off leash and threatened me. Staff wouldn't make the owner contain it, which put my health and safety at risk. I wouldn't stay here again.

The room was spacious and lovely, the restaurant service was great, and we enjoyed the wellness center. But we left an item worth 500 dollars in the room by mistake. They never answered our calls, and by email they said they hadn't found anything. It was a large item and hard to overlook. Either a cleaner took it or someone else did. Keep a close eye on your belongings if you stay here, because ours went missing.

We had an awesome time. It's in a great, historic location, with superb food and a really high-level massage. The staff were friendly and worked hard, and the prices were moderate with no surprise charges. Everything was very clean, even though some fixtures are a bit dated.

Breakfast and dinner were part of my stay. Breakfast had a great range of choices, and dinner was delicious and a fantastic experience. The hotel is right beside the castle and has very good facilities, including a wellness area. The bathroom setup was the one drawback. I prefer a shower to a bath for convenience and environmental reasons, but there was nowhere to hang the showerhead. The tub was under a sloped ceiling, so standing up to bathe wasn't possible. Still, I had a very enjoyable stay.

The staff were attentive and keen to help, which I appreciated. The hotel is in a nice spot and has an attractive exterior, but I don't understand all the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Our top-floor room felt as if it hadn't been renovated in years. It was very cold, and the bathroom looked dated. Staff said the radiators worked automatically, but they didn't come on until our last day. The spa sounded nice in concept, though I noticed mold in a few places, including the steam sauna and shared showers. The neighboring restaurant's food was generally good, but breakfast got harder to manage after a few days. A lot of the fruit, vegetables, and other items didn't look fresh or appetizing, although that may not have been entirely the hotel's responsibility. They also put up a party tent at night for a wedding or similar event during our stay, working until about 1 a.m. The lights stayed on afterward, and the noise and light disturbed our sleep.
