Ubytovna Zamecek

Great.

The peaceful setting was a big part of what made my four-day stay at Ubytovna Zámeček in Hojsova Stráž so enjoyable over the long May Day weekend. Each morning I could work on university subjects without interruption in my small but well arranged room, then spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful Bohemian Forest and come back to a comfortable bed. The shared bathroom was clean, and the large communal kitchen had everything I needed. Communication with both the landlady and the on-site manager was easy, and they were both very friendly. Thanks for a lovely stay. I hope to see you again in summer, and all the best for the future. It's a great place to stay!

At the end of June, my class and I stayed here during a school hiking trip. There was dust, cobwebs and even mud on the mattresses, and everyone who drank the tap water developed stomach problems. When we raised it, the landlady responded rudely that we shouldn't drink so much, though nobody had consumed alcohol before drinking the water. On the third day, an ambulance took my classmate and me to hospital with rotavirus. That speaks for itself.

We were pleasantly surprised by the clean room, showers and toilets, and the bed linen smelled fresh. The place isn't luxurious, of course, but it was perfectly adequate for the price. The kitchenette had everything we needed, including plenty of pots and utensils, plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery. The owner was wonderful and offered soft drinks along with several kinds of our favorite champagne 🌷 We also got a gorgeous sunset to watch from the terrace.
