Great!

There's plenty of space, and the manager is a lovely, helpful woman. We have a one-year-old, and the facilities worked great for us, so I highly recommend it for families with small children.

The owner is really nice and helpful, and the apartment is spacious and beautiful, with everything clean and the beds perfect. Parking is in the yard behind a gate, and it's five minutes to the center. I recommend this guesthouse if you're in Strakonice. I once locked the keys inside the apartment, and the owner sorted everything out right away with a smile.

After reading the very positive reviews on Booking and Google, we chose this place, but it turned out to be one of our worst experiences. We booked the apartment two months ahead and got an email confirmation a few days before arrival, but received no instructions. We arrived Friday before 7 pm, within the listed check-in hours of 2-10 pm. With no doorbell and a landline that didn't work, we couldn't reach the owners for about 45 minutes. The owner arrived after roughly an hour, while we'd been waiting outside the whole time with our two small children. She said she'd give us a double room. We explained that we'd booked an apartment and, with two little kids, wouldn't fit in a small room. She said the apartment was no longer available and she thought we weren't coming. She'd given it to someone else without checking, even though she'd confirmed the booking a few days earlier after we contacted her. The small room didn't have enough beds, so they quickly moved a bed in, leaving very little space. Without the children, we would have gone elsewhere, but at 8 pm with a toddler and a preschooler, we didn't want to deal with finding another place. The only good thing was that the owner gave us a discount. Cleanliness was nowhere near a 10 and needs a lot of work. There were spiders and cobwebs in the bathroom, and dust on the windowsills and cobwebs in the room. The bathroom skylight leaks, leaving damp patches and humidity everywhere. I don't understand the extremely positive reviews because our experience was the complete opposite. If the owners want to rent the house for short stays, they should probably get help maintaining it. For the price, it really doesn't match the service quality. The apartment was over 2,000 CZK a night on Booking, and at that price you expect some quality of service.
