ENDEMIT Boutique Hotel & Spa

I've stayed here twice in winter, five nights altogether, and we had dinner at the hotel each time. The spa is good, and the rooms and corridors are clean, spacious and smell nice. It's definitely worth the price. I'd give it five stars if the restaurant weren't an issue, though maybe I'm just not its target customer. My husband and I tried the tasting menu and quite a few other dishes, and I disliked all of them. Too much salt, along with pickles and vinegar, made everything excessively salty. Beetroot was used so heavily that its sweetness stood out in every dish. The grilled pork neck still had an unpleasant meat smell, and the tomato seasoning reduced some of its heaviness but added unnecessary sourness. The trout was also odd, with pumpkin cream sauce and a strong fishy taste. The kitchen didn't seem able to balance flavours or bring ingredients together. Everything felt like it was performing solo on my plate. Those are my honest feelings. I'd probably stay at the hotel again, but bring my own dinner, since there's not much choice nearby on a winter evening.

We picked this hotel for the sauna, and it lived up to expectations. The facilities are kept up well, there's enough room, and there are lovely places to relax. It sits on top of a hill with a beautiful view. I'd only ask for longer sauna hours: it closes at 8 PM, and staying open until 9 or 10 PM would be better.

We had a wonderful week here. The room was spacious and quiet, with a huge comfortable bed, lots of storage, and a great view from the sofa. I also liked that housekeeping only came in when we hung the card on the door. Breakfast was delicious, and you could get an omelette or eggs freshly cooked in different styles. The selection suited us perfectly, with everything we needed and food prepared sustainably. We had dinner at the restaurant too. Everyone was lovely, attentive, and spoke English well. The vegetarian choices were very limited, which disappointed me, but the cooks offered alternatives that were absolutely perfect. I really appreciated their effort to make me feel welcome. The wellness area was one of the reasons we booked, and it was clean and well maintained. My only small complaint is that the relaxation room has no door, so you can hear people talking or making noise around the saunas, waiting areas and cooling areas. We'd be very happy to come back soon ✨

The food and atmosphere are the big reasons I'd return. The cook clearly knows what he's doing, and the meals were simply great. The hotel has a relaxed, modern, simple and cozy feel without being posh. We also enjoyed the outdoorish restaurant, and the mountain view rooms are awesome. The location is great, and the amenities include saunas, a pool and yoga zones. There are a few nuisances. Menus and all the hotel documents are in Czech, with not a single line in English. A few staff know some English, but almost none of those work in the restaurant. They do try to help, though the restaurant crew could improve at four-star service, especially handling wine, looking after guests, and staying composed when they don't understand what's being said. The friendly staff, food, views and atmosphere outweighed those issues for me. I'd go again.
