The west-facing rooms are worth asking for, and the front garden is a lovely, romantic spot to watch the sunset. The hotel has recently been rebuilt, with clean rooms in a natural style, and it’s in a perfect location. Food tastes excellent, though portions could be smaller. The staff are very kind and welcoming, and there’s parking by the hotel. Regular traffic can’t use the road up to it, but guests have an exception and can drive all the way up. Since it sits beside the main hiking trail, weekends and holidays can get busy. My only complaint is the beds, which need better or newer mattresses.

It’s a perfect place for a family outing, whether you’re walking or biking. It’s been renovated and is very nice now.
