Hotel Mesit

We had a rainy spell, but there were no leaks, and we spent a couple of enjoyable hours playing free darts in reception until it cleared. The small pool is free and was a welcome extra; our room was clean and pleasant too. I’d pick the nature room, though the Paris room has a huge corner bath. The staff were friendly, and the reception and grounds were pleasant. The hotel is in a charming spot and easy to reach by road. A very steep slope and an underpass lead down to a lovely lake area where you can picnic, stroll, pick wild strawberries and raspberries, or swim. You can also bring a lilo or inflatable boat and relax on the calm water. Breakfast and dinner are buffet-style and nice, but breakfast could use more healthy options, especially fruit and vegetables beyond the oranges, bread, and cereal. They had run out of Nutella, with none left to offer, which was disappointing. Tea and coffee are included with breakfast. Although we had prepaid for breakfast and dinner, dinner drinks weren’t included, and even tap water cost 15kcs. At least it was flavored with mint and lemon, but I still think water should come with meals. A nice place with nice staff, though healthier breakfast choices and free tap water would improve it.

We had tasty food and good wine, and the service was great. The staff were friendly, and our room had a nice mountain view. Everything about the stay was perfect. I’ll be back ;)
