Apartmány Challupa

We keep coming back because the service is fantastic and the apartments are so comfortable and cozy. There’s a campfire ring, a kids’ playground, and plenty of toys and games inside. The bus stop is right nearby, too. We’ve enjoyed every stay and already plan to return.

The owner takes care of any little issues that come up during a stay, and there’s plenty to keep the children entertained. The apartments are kept clean and in good condition, and the owners have furnished the chalet beautifully. It’s in a lovely setting, and I highly recommend it.

After the reply, I want to clarify that I did want to borrow a rake. Once I was told the rakes were all in use, including the one stuck in the snow, I asked if I could at least take the children’s rake by the wall. I got the same refusal, that they definitely wouldn’t lend me one. Anything would have helped at that point. Luckily, a nearby shop lent us a rake, and we gradually dug out the cars. The snow had completely buried our cars and the area around them in the adjacent parking lot. I went to the accommodation to ask for a shovel or rake. Several were leaning against the building and others were in the snow, but the lady said they were all occupied. She repeated that she wouldn’t lend me one, even after I pleaded and explained she could see the parking lot and I wasn’t going to take a used rake home. I understand that help or goodwill can’t be demanded. Still, I hope that if you need help, the person you ask won’t weigh the acceptable risk at around 100 CZK, which is what I estimate a rake costs.

Across the street there’s a butcher and an information center with souvenirs, while a short walk gets you to trips, restaurants, a cafe, a florist, a post office, and pretty much anything else you might need. The cottage is in an ideal spot, with peace and quiet, and it’s lovely, clean, and cozy. We arrived to a warm welcome and a clean, fragrant apartment. Jana is so helpful and accommodating, and the whole arrangement was great. We’ll happily recommend Challupa and come back again. It’s hard to find accommodation run with as much care, sensitivity, and good service as Mrs. Jana provides. Keep it up 🌸🏔️
