A good apartment.

Our stay made for a great weekend even with all the rain, thanks to the comfortable accommodation. The owner communicated very well, and everything he told us was completely accurate. The place stayed pleasantly warm despite the cold weather outside. There are lots of interesting spots nearby, including Jizerka, the Zubačka in Kořenov and its museum, viewpoints, the ruptured Desná dam, the Souš reservoir, a historic car museum with a café, and ski lifts. They’re all within about 15 minutes. There’s also a hotel restaurant right next door where you can arrange meals. The cottage has three apartments, each sleeping roughly four to six people. They’re practical and well equipped, with a kitchen and dining area, bathroom with shower and toilet, and one or sometimes two bedrooms. Upstairs in the attic there’s another sitting area. Downstairs, the large, warm, cozy shared room has a kitchen, TV, billiards, and plenty of seats. You can sit by the fireplace from either the hallway or the common room. There are also two toilets, a shower, and a roomy sauna with facilities on the ground floor.

The house has a nice style, roomy apartments, and a shared space with billiards and a fireplace, plus a sauna. Families should find it especially suitable in winter. In summer, though, there isn’t much space around the house, and it sits between two roads.

The manager, Mr. Kočí, was pleasant and easy to communicate with, and I appreciated how carefully waste is sorted. The cottage looks lovely inside and out, with a cozy interior. A few little faults were forgivable, like the loose faucet by the sink and the shower door that didn’t close properly, so water wouldn’t drain. The manager said it would be fixed soon. The floors creak constantly, though, so you can hear pretty much every step from your roommates and people in the other apartment. My biggest issue was the pillows. I usually bring my own when I travel, but forgot this time. These were shapeless bags filled with who knows what. To get any support for my head, I had to bunch one up and hold it in place.
