A beautiful building in a fantastic spot on the town square. The rooms are spacious and the service is good. Breakfast has plenty to choose from, including Greek specialties made by the ever-friendly chef Georgios.

The breakfast staff were so nice, and the food made my day. I fell in love with the breakfast, everything was delicious and beautifully served. There were so many tasty dishes and desserts that anyone who enjoys food would have a great time. I’ll remember those flavors for a long, long time.

The location in the historic part of the city is hard to beat, and the thick walls give the former monastery a lovely sense of history. It’s one of the best places to stay in central Hradec Kralove, with cozy rooms and a great breakfast. There are plenty of meeting rooms too, so it often hosts exhibitions or congresses. That can make the hotel lively and quite noisy during events, which may not suit anyone looking for complete quiet.

My room was hot, and there was no kettle, so I had to keep buying water, though I believe tap water is drinkable. It was an accessible room on the third floor, but the only grab rails were by the toilet. The huge bathroom had a bath that would be very hard for a disabled person to climb in and out of. The shower had a tiny, slippery wooden seat that couldn’t be used, and the basic shower head was held up with string. There was a large wet area but no grab rails. They don’t seem to cater well for disabled guests, especially wheelchair users.
