The prices are reasonable, and there’s beer on tap. The place feels cozy and lovely, and it’s close to Hluboka, with a bike path you can take to get there. Food is only available from the grill.

We never tried the food, but over the week, whenever we were passing through, we’d stop in for a beer. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the Bernard on tap was excellent. Very nice place.

The kids could play in the yard while the adults relaxed, since there wasn’t anywhere for them to run off to. It was quiet, had a nice family feel, and the accommodation was beautiful and clean. The owner and staff were helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed what we tried: the meat goulash was like a cake, and we liked the idea of serving beer sausages and a portion of drowned man in a glass container. Breakfast was hearty, and something different each morning. There were heaters in the room; even though it was August, we turned them on, and it was lovely and warm for a while. The farm is right by the cycle path on the Budějovice-Hluboká route. Bring bikes if you have them, because getting around on foot means a bit of walking. The only climb is perhaps the curb by the sidewalk 😁
