Kotyza

The location is right in the heart of Humpolec, and breakfast was good. But the hotel is pretty old and the cleanliness needs a lot of improvement. Someone else’s hair was everywhere, in the room, bathroom, and even in the soap. Awful 🤮

Great value, with a good buffet breakfast and an easy walk up to Orlik Castle. The service was good in a typical local Czech way, though it could come across as cold. The hotel sits right on the main square, just 50 metres from Bernard brewery. We’d stay again for that location alone.

Laundry cost 90 euros, and the clothes came back terribly washed, with big detergent stains and clumps of powder still stuck to some items. Getting around was a long trek too, from the parking area to reception and from breakfast back to the parking. Everything feels old, and there’s no elevator, so you can’t take your suitcase from reception or breakfast up to your room.

We came with our dogs and felt welcome, just as the friendly staff made sure of. They spoke German and English. The restaurant served good quality food at fair prices. The chocolate brownie with mint and warm raspberries was a highlight :) Breakfast was included and tasty, with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. A very positive stay, and we’d recommend it.
