Really great accommodation.

The price was reasonable, and the place was clean and cozy. We stayed with our dog and everything was fine. The owner was warm and helpful, and a lovely lady looked after us too :-) We’d definitely return.

The price is what made me write this, because I don’t think it’s fair for a room where you can hear the toilet flushing next door. At half the price, it might be okay. It didn’t really feel like a guesthouse. I understand it’s a family-run setup, but staying in someone’s home made me feel more like a family friend than a paying guest. You’re even expected to take your shoes off before going upstairs. The owner was okay, and you can see the yard, but the experience still felt very personal. I was awake from 6 in the morning because I could hear running water, the toilet, and something being put on a table in the next room. We were in a double bed. There were smaller issues too, like a shower door that wouldn’t close and someone else’s hair caught under the bag in the bin. It left me wondering how carefully the place gets cleaned.

The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from, and the landlord was cheerful and happy to suggest places to visit or get a good meal. It’s close to the center, but the atmosphere is quiet and almost like home.
