The rooms in this huge building were spacious, and breakfast and dinner were good. We brought our medium-sized dog and had no issues; the charge was 500 czk per night. My only complaint is that none of the rooms have air conditioning.

It's a very small, quiet town, with a lovely old castle and church. There's a hotel in the building with conference rooms and a restaurant, but it gets quite hot in summer because there's no air conditioning. The best thing to get at the restaurant is a good Czech beer.

The hotel is peaceful and quiet, linked to Church of the Name of the Virgin Mary. The staff were friendly, though their English was limited. Rooms, shared spaces, and the surroundings were clean. Breakfast needs more variety, especially more fruit and vegetables. There isn't much choice for vegetarians or vegans.

The receptionist was easily the kindest person in the hotel. She kept smiling and suggested places to visit nearby and things to see. I spent one night at the chateau and expected more. Our room was nice but basic, with an amazing view of the church, especially in the morning. The bed wasn't very comfortable, and the room felt a little colder than I'm used to, though it was fine for sleeping. The food tasted okay. At the buffet dinner there were lots of snack options, including deviled eggs and stuffed tomatoes, and the beans with bacon were excellent. The panna cotta desserts were very good too. But there were no allergen labels, or even general labels, so nobody knew what was in each dish. That was a serious problem, especially since we'd told them well in advance that two people in our group needed gluten-free food. Breakfast had the same issue. This matters for people with minor allergies too, such as to certain fruits. There wasn't any gluten-free pastry, not even the puffed rice cakes I'm used to finding at hotels. Lunch service was poor. The waiter was rude and complained about the crowd, despite knowing we'd reserved for more than 20 people. Asking about a gluten-free version of the meal clearly annoyed him. The hotel wasn't bad, and the stay was a new experience for me, but the restaurant's service and food labeling were awful. I wouldn't eat there again unless I had to.
