The quiet ponds and nearby villages made our stay feel peaceful, and the old villa is very well looked after. Jiri and Ingrid did everything they could to make us feel cared for. Our room was clean and worked well for the family, and pets are clearly welcome here. It’s a lovely, home-like place about an hour from Prague. Villa Olga is worth trying.

The hostess welcomed us so warmly that we felt like family. Breakfast was great, the rooms had a nice mix of classic and modern, and our dog was very welcome too. It’s also well placed for visiting Prague, Plzen, Kutna Hora, and other parts of the Czech Republic. We couldn’t have asked for more.

The garden is lovely, and forest trails and a nature reserve are within walking distance. It’s an old villa that’s been updated and turned into a hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and took the time to suggest places we could visit.

We found this lovely hotel in Jevany, between Kutna Hora and Prague. Jiri and his family made us feel at home in their 1908 house, now a beautiful hotel with comfortable, modern rooms. After a long day of travel, I especially appreciated the shower. The grounds are lovely for bird watching, and Jiri was attentive and delightful. Their dog, Lord, was welcoming too. Breakfast was included and delicious, with eggs, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, sausage, fresh fruit, bread and pastries, plus a great coffee machine. The town has a small restaurant with cold beer and good local food, though nobody there spoke English. Jiri spoke English and was a big help getting us to the restaurant and into Prague. The hotel is about 40 minutes from Prague’s outskirts. We left the car at the metro and took the train into town, since driving and parking in Prague’s old town is a nightmare. This was one of our best finds in the Czech Republic.
