Penzion Jicin

The best part was breakfast at Jičín Hotel, it was fantastic, and the hotel staff were great too. Our room was cold at first, but they switched on the heating when we asked. The rooms themselves were modest and very clean, though the price did not feel right for what you got. Noise was the bigger problem: the guesthouse sits above a sports bar, and once the jukebox started downstairs it felt like a party was happening upstairs. The windows barely blocked the busy street, and the doors did little for sound either. At night, when the neighbors knocked on each other's doors, it sounded like they were knocking on ours. You can see where costs were cut during construction. Three stars, largely thanks to breakfast.

The road beside the guesthouse is quite busy, so mornings were noisy and I didn't sleep much. The accommodation was clean and nice otherwise, and I was satisfied.

I've stayed here twice. The price feels fair for the level of service, though breakfast is served somewhere other than the guesthouse.

The room was in poor condition, and there was no cleaning service. The hot water tank and radiators also seemed to act up now and then, with the radiators going cold.
