The room was very clean and pleasant, and the garden and playground make it great for children. Too bad the restaurant was cancelled, because then you can't get anything there. Be careful with the pool: it’s offered on booking as part of the accommodation, but costs a lot and is only available with advance booking. In summer, it was impossible to survive the night without air conditioning or a fan. Otherwise the stay met expectations, and we’d have no problem coming back :)

We really enjoyed the private saltwater pool, and there’s a garden where you can sit while the children play. The playground seating could use a little renovation. Parking on the property was no problem, which I appreciated. The place is in the pedestrian zone right in the center, and it was quiet at night. Our room was small but enough for a night’s sleep, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchenette. Room no. 5 had a large, beautiful bathroom with a corner bath. Communication was good, the room was clean, and trash was taken out daily. It’s modest accommodation, but clean and functional, and we felt very comfortable. I recommend it, and we’d happily stay here again if we travel to Hradec.

The owner pleasantly warmed our room because the weather was cold, which was very nice. The guesthouse is right in the middle of the center and the accommodation is really beautiful. I can’t think of anything to criticize, only things to praise. If I go to Hradec again, this will be my clear choice.

The first wedding day I spent here was a good experience. We sat outside and the young waiter was friendly, smiling and attentive. Someone from inside would come by now and then, also smiling. The newlyweds thought the food was good, and the banquet was decent too. A few months later I was back for another wedding day, and the service was a different story. There were two women around 30 and a man waiting outside, and they seemed confused. I was basically the last to get my sirloin. The bride’s mother had to point it out, or I might still be waiting. The ordering system was strange, people around the table were thirsty, and the staff lacked pace and coordination. When it got dark they started drinking, and people were cutting through from the city, with someone from inside the restaurant coming out now and then. I don’t understand that at a wedding, which should be treated as a closed society. The restaurant may offer great accommodation facilities and a gym, but good staff are essential.
