Breakfast had a tasty spread with a good range, and they welcomed me with a lovely cake. The staff were friendly, and it's a charming boutique hotel. My single room, number 5, was tiny but cozy. I didn't care for the little fridge, which was empty, unplugged and unattractive, or for the TV. I'd have preferred a Bluetooth speaker, bookshelves with books, or flowers. For breakfast, local homemade or organic yogurt, honey or jam would be a nice change from the nearly empty Nutella jar.

The receptionist was very friendly and spoke excellent German. The rooms are spacious and comfortable for longer stays, and some have a kitchen and living room. I stayed right by an old gate inside the city, about two minutes' walk from the center of kadan. Just outside the gate there's a nice little park. Parking in the backyard is limited, so if you're arriving by car, try to find a spot outside the city, not too far from the hotel.

The location in the old city center is excellent, close to all the restaurants. The place was clean and very pleasant, with a really good breakfast and excellent hospitality from the very nice landlady.
