The playground is a fun feature for kids, and the place is well suited to families. The rooms are set up for little ones too. Mr. Aleš was very helpful, and we were very pleased with him. More employees like that 😊 Our apartment had a couple of frustrating problems: the main door lock didn’t work, and the room light was broken. Things can happen, but there was no way to call reception and get someone to fix them, so after about 18:00 we were left in one of the rooms in the dark. At checkout I told reception that calling hadn’t been possible, and they said that was out of the question. We also couldn’t call before arriving when we wanted to ask for information, so this may not be an unusual problem. I also didn’t like the lights in the apartment hallway and kitchen switching on and off automatically, though that might suit some people.

We came as a family of five and had a great stay. The location and staff were good, and breakfast had omelets, fried sausages, lots of bread and cheese, and juices. Around 9 a.m., though, it was hard to find an empty table. The staff understand Russian. There’s a private room with tables in the main building where you can have tea, coffee, and cookies. The sauna was great, and while the pool isn’t very big, it wasn’t crowded either. We’d like to come back. I recommend it!!!!!!!!

Parking is the small downside. You can pull up to unload your suitcases, but then need to use a garage or find a spot on a nearby street. That’s down to Karlovy Vary’s location, not the hotel. The apartments are modern, beautiful, spacious, and fully equipped, making them a great fit for a large family. I liked the look and colors of the rooms, and each apartment is nicely laid out. A cot is available if reserved ahead, and there’s a high chair too. The hotel also has a large indoor playground. Wellness and meals are available at the neighboring Astoria hotel, about a two-minute walk away. The food and wellness facilities were great, with a wide buffet selection, a small pool, several saunas, and showers with a distinctive water flow. A great place for a family break.

A good choice for a holiday with kids. The building mostly hosts families, and breakfast is at the hotel across the street. There’s an indoor play area for the little ones to burn off energy, plus a room for strollers and bikes and a washing machine.
